Golf Prep Academy is excited to announce that we will have a new home in 2014 at The Sea Pines Resort!  Beginning in January, all academy instruction will move to the Resort’s Heron Point and Ocean courses where a 23,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and state-of-the-art golf learning center are set to open in early 2014.

simon cookeGolf Prep instructor and co-founder, Simon Cooke, will also be making the move in January to join the instructional team at The Sea Pines Resort with Director of Instruction Tim Cooke.  Simon will bring with him 17 years of experience as a golf professional, along with his short game expertise that has him known in the low country as the “Short Game Specialist” due to his extensive work with SAM Putt Lab and wedge instruction.

Simon was a three time All American collegiate golfer for the University of Virginia (’96) and had three professional wins during a professional career where he competed on the PGA, Nationwide, Canadian, and South African tours.

“The combination of Golf Prep Academy, our instructional staff, The Sea Pines Resort location, and our wonderful students and families produces a golf academy experience that is truly unequaled and an outlook for 2014 that is very exciting,” says Simon Cooke.

Golf Prep Academy will also have a name change and now be known as The Sea Pines Resort Elite Junior Golf Academy.
